Iowa podiatrists enjoy one of the most progressive practice environments in the nation due largely to the efforts of the Iowa Podiatric Medical Society. We can now rely on the benefits of prescriptive practice, third-party reimbursement, hospital privileges, peer regulation and reasonable practice rules all of which were the results of IPMS legislative efforts over the past 60 years.

 

As an organization, the main goal of IPMS is to enhance access to quality healthcare for patients. In order to work toward this goal, IPMS monitors legislation affecting podiatrists, welcomes new members and strives to be as a responsive and problem solving organization from which all Iowa podiatrists can benefit.
